Hello
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Be blessed with the below update.
We had a team come from Vineyard Community Church, led by their Senior pastor, Chip Richardson. They have been a great support to the church, the mission, and the water filter project over many years. The team stayed for two weeks and was busy participating in the ministry. All in all, the team participated in building and distributing water filters, a men’s night conference at the church, home groups, and an English night. I will share a bunch of pictures.
The team participated in preaching at the church and sharing at some of our home groups. Camilly and Alyssa translated at the home groups.
The team helped with our English Pizza night, which had a great turnout. English night is an excellent way for our Brazilian friends to get to know the church. Plus, it allows the team to get to know our Brazilian friends.

The team spent a lot of time helping to build the filters and sifting and cleaning sand for them. The type of sand used for the filters is a crucial factor in producing safe drinking water. The preparation process to build a filter requires a significant amount of time.

After the team built the filters, we set off on the river to deliver them for four days, during which we were able to provide nearly 50 filters. To deliver filters to some of the houses requires strength and agility. The bags of sand weigh about 40 pounds, and sometimes, to enter the home, you need to walk on logs, climb high stairways, that are wet and slippery.

When the team left, we received a message requesting that we come back and help another 53 families in that area. We pray that we will be able to do that very soon.
In addition to delivering filters. We were able to worship and preach the word of God to the community. It was a blessing. It reminds me of the story of the lady going to the well, where Jesus meets her in John 4:4-26. During the conversation, her and Jesus were talking about the water in its natural states. Then Jesus moves the conversation from physical thirst to the promise of eternity through the Holy Spirit. “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.” (John 4:13-14). Thankfully, we were able to share that message with our new friends in the community.

The team and our church members donated clothing and food baskets to the community. Everyone was so happy and felt blessed.

If you liked what you read above, please consider donating to the water filter project. As mentioned above, the Vineyard Community church is essentially our only donor to the project. We want to raise an additional 2,000 per month to help continue to support the water filter project. Just as Jesus offered the woman living water that satisfies spiritual thirst, giving people a water filter meets a vital physical need—clean water. It’s an act of compassion and love that reflects Christ’s care for both body and soul. Providing clean water can open doors to deeper conversations and relationships, just like Jesus did at the well.
