Small Group 

Happy Thanksgiving!  We are truly thankful for your faithful prayers and support! 

Following our inauguration, we started a small group on Wednesday evenings for families.  Much like how we began our group here in Palmas, we are providing a context where a socioeconomically and religiously diverse group can engage with the basics of Christianity.  

We share a meal and fellowship, listen to a brief and relevant explanation of a key Christian belief, and then discuss as a group how we personally understand it, whether we agree or disagree, and what the implications might be for us.

It is a secure setting free from judgment and pressure where one can meet new people, process doubts and questions, and explore faith.

Please continue to pray with us as we try to faithfully, intelligently, and gracefully model the Kingdom of God.  Pray that God will continue to bless us with new relationships and that He will bring curiosity and conviction in the hearts of our new friends.

Outreach to women

The phrase “Pink October” denotes bringing awareness to women’s health issues.  We hosted a women’s dinner using this focus.  We invited a health professional to speak on courage and love to care for oneself.  Marsha then briefly shared on caring for the whole self; mentally, socially, and spiritually as well as physically.  It was a special evening with many visitors and provided a good opportunity for interaction with the community.  

A personal note

You may have noted in the small group pictures above that Keith has been released from his sling!  He is in physical therapy, and has resumed running.  Praise God he is doing well.  Due to a shift in the plate that was inserted, he will need a second surgery to remove it.  The date is not yet set but should be at the beginning of December.  Please continue to pray for full healing.

Please continue praying that God will connect us with key people and give us direction as we seek to guide this group and form a community of Christ followers.

Pray for provision in our monthly financial support.

Pray for physical, spiritual, and emotional health.
