This new year started with exciting newness for the works here in Northern Brazil. Along with the new year are visions for and opportunities of leadership formation and growth, relationship building, church growth, and church planting. Check out the brief highlights below:
The Blaylocks are on location in João Pessoa. They have returned from home assignment and are administrating the logistics of moving locations. Even though this can bring many headaches, logistics also bring connections and help understand culture and context as one integrates into the new community which they will serve and plant a church.
The Dolans in Belém have also moved their church to their own rented commercial space. They have been receiving many visitors just out of curiosity, creating the opportunity for new relationships to form. It also provides space for a children’s classroom.
Bob Lesher has stepped into new ministry roles. Bob learned how to play bass guitar and is now participating in the church band playing worship music. He has also stretched his personal boundaries and has added preaching at Sunday services to serving his church.
The Meyers have a unique newness to the church, Vineyard Viva, they pastor. They are seeing a baby boom, creating new challenges of caring for the growing families.
The Wilsons in Palmas have moved the church out of their home and into a rented commercial space. This allows better visibility and new connections as well as space to grow and develop. Changes will include a space for a children’s classroom, and a potential location for ESL classes.
Praise God with us for these new and good changes. Pray with us as we take each new step in furthering the Kingdom of God here in Brazil. Partner with us as we face new challenges found in change.
