Hello

1 Peter 1:3: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”  As we start the journey through Holy Week, we thank Jesus for His resurrection and the gift of salvation and new life through His sacrifice. Happy Easter for He has Risen!!!

In 2019, we started a campaign to help increase the number of small groups called the “The Real Jesus” based on The Vineyard Columbus rendition.  The campaign aims to push past the clichés and baggage of religion and get to know things about Jesus you may not know.

We liked this campaign because it provides an easy way for our members to ask family and friends to come to their houses to share about Jesus.  Essentially, to start the home group, we asked them to do the following: 

1.      Ask your family and friends to come

2.      Open up your home

3.      Serve a snack

4.      Show the video, and afterward, have a conversation. 

We worked hard to re-produce the weekly videos, and we completed them.  We did the following videos:

Jesus, the Master

Jesus the Sufferer

Jesus the Healer

Jesus the King

We just finished the third week of “Jesus the Sufferer.”  Before the campaign, we had four small home groups.  Currently, the campaign runs in ten groups, which is very exciting.  We wonder if these home groups will continue meeting after the campaign.  We look forward to how these groups mature and create community and disciples.
