Hello

The Lord is good and His love endures forever.  Psalm 100:5.  Praise be to His Holy name for He is faithful.  We are so grateful to be working alongside you here in Brazil as you continue to pray for us to the Lord.  Bless and thank you so much!  Pray you are blessed with the below update.

We have been traveling these last weeks, visiting churches we helped plant and sharing with their congregations.  We visited the Pacajá church, and then went to the Mirante Church.  At the Pacajá and the Mirante churches, they asked us to share at a couples conference they put together in anticipation of our arrival.  We shared with each of them the 4–Fs.

We shared Biblical principles and our experiences of our soon-to-be 22 years of marriage.  It is rare for me to speak in front of crowds.  I enjoy being more in the background and working in the capacity to which the Lord has given me great joy.  Especially since Elba is a natural leader and speaker, my need to speak is greatly diminished.  In the end, the talks were received very well.

We had the privilege to participate in the inauguration of Vineyard Palmas church led by Keith and Marsha Wilson.  Praise the Lord for another church!  It was a great time to celebrate and pray for their team.  Our mission at the Xingu Mission is to plant churches and train leaders, and the Wilsons are fulfilling this mission.

We also visited the Marabá church and shared with their young leadership team.  Elba taught on Vineyard values and power evangelism.  She taught/refreshed their memory about the gifts of the Spirit, including healing, prophecy, freedom, and being sent with the power of the Lord.  The good thing is that it wasn’t just about teaching; we put it into action.  Several people experienced healing, such as long-term knee injuries and back pain.  This little boy was touched deeply by the Spirit and was healed of his fever and earache.

We also shared at a leadership meeting, and they had an opportunity to write down their prayers/desires for the church.

We will be coming back to the United States on November 22nd.  Alyssa will be graduating this year, and she wants to participate in a gap year program.  We found one that is in Ohio and close to my sister, Lynn.  We are excited to see how God will use this time for her.  We are going there to help with her transition.  Camilly will be staying in Brazil to finish up with her college classes.  Please keep us in your prayers.

We thank you and appreciate your continued prayers:

Please pray for our church, leadership, and congregation that they may help people draw closer to God and reveal His plans for the church and for us.

Please pray for our family.

Please pray for our spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and financial health.

Please pray that we can find permanent land and buildings in Belem.

Much love, Steve, Elba, Camilly, and Alyssa
