Merry Christmas! 

Merry Christmas to you and your family!  What a wonderful time to be intentional about spreading the love, joy, and hope that Jesus’s birth gave to us.  May your Christmas be filled with God’s love and peace.

The other side of the river 

We were invited to hold a small group at a house on the other side of the river.  It is a small city with some outskirt areas that feel like the interior places in Pará we have been to over the years.  Several live within walking distance of the house and are relatives of a guy in our Palmas church plant. We were received well and had a lively discussion about what Christ’s birth means to us now.  This is a potential place for us to hold a small group regularly.  Please pray for continued opportunities in this area.

Financial support needed

We are extremely grateful to those who have faithfully supported us during our 21 years on the mission field.  You have been the bedrock for numerous trips into hard-to-reach areas, three city church plants, life-giving social assistance, and many more, less tangible accomplishments.  What an encouraging blessing!

As we approach the end of the year and you begin your financial planning for 2026, would you consider becoming a financial partner or pray about your current giving support level?

We are facing a significant decline in donations in 2026 due to donor attrition, as well as financial challenges and various restructurings within our sending church.   The result is a gap of $2,600 between our monthly support and the amount needed to continue this work at the present level, which needs to be filled during the first half of the coming year. 

Although an unexpected and significant support gap, we view it as an opportunity to see God work through new partners;  people He is cultivating to serve the Kingdom through this ministry. 

We could also use your help in making new connections.  Would you consider sharing about us and the ministry here in Brazil with your church, small group, or other individuals who might have an interest in church planting in this region?

A personal update

As a continued follow-up about Keith’s bicycle accident, he has finished his physical therapy.  The bone was not yet ready for the plate to be removed earlier in December.  He will return in January for a check and possibly schedule the surgery.  Please continue to pray for full healing.
