Bless you from the Amazon!!!

Hello

We are so grateful for all your prayers and support.  Please keep them up!  Be blessed with the below update.

We were blessed to have John and Eleanor Mumford come to Belem and minister to our congregation. It was great to be with them again, and we cherish the friendship that has formed. They arrived on Saturday afternoon after a long trip from England. We did not give them much time to rest, and we had them host a couple’s dinner for the Church. Every couple brought a dish, and we hung out, played games, and listened to John and Eleanor share about their marriage.  John also shared at our church service on Sunday, and we had a great time of ministry with healings and salvation.

Afterward, we all traveled to São Paulo for our first South American conference, “One Spirit, One Mission”. We have been in the planning process for this conference for over a year, and only by the grace of God, and God using His people, did it turn out so well. We had many countries outside of South America attend this monumental event, including the UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, and Belgium. There were many great teaching sessions and workshops throughout the three-day event, which started on Thursday and ended late Saturday evening. We traveled back to Belem on Sunday so we could be there for Church. What a week, but we are tired!!!  😊

Elba also launched her new book at the conference.  “Reino e Discipulado:  O impacto do Evangelho do Reino na formação de discípulos e na missão da Igreja” which is translated “Kingdom and Discipleship:

The impact of the Gospel of the Kingdom on disciple-making and the mission of the Church. It is only in Portuguese at the moment. Here is a very short description of the book. What does it mean to follow Jesus today? What kind of disciples are we forming, and for what mission? At a time when the gospel is often reduced to individual salvation or religious programs, Elba’s book invites the reader to rediscover Jesus’s central message: the Kingdom of God. Elba shows that the gospel of the Kingdom shapes disciples who are filled with the Holy Spirit, committed to the Word, attentive to the pain of others, and willing to participate in the restoration of all things. Elba intends to form disciples who know God’s story, live it out, and multiply it until the Kingdom is visible in every city, every community, and every generation.

Guess who is back???? YES. Alyssa is back from her gap-year Bible college program. She did excellently at school and made lots of new friends. We are glad to have her back home and walking through this next phase of her life together.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Please pray for our Church, leadership, and congregation that they may help people draw closer to God and reveal His plans for the Church and for us.

Please pray for our family.

Please pray for our spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and financial health.

Please pray that we can find permanent land and buildings in Belem.

Please pray that Elba’s book gets into all the right hands that the Lord wants to have receive it.

Much love, Steve, Elba, Camilly, and Alyssa
