Children’s Day in Brazil, celebrated annually on October 12, provides a special opportunity for our local churches to demonstrate the love of Jesus to children, strengthen families, and share the message of the Gospel with their communities. As families across the country celebrate the lives of their children, our churches embrace this occasion as an opportunity to remind every child that they are precious to God, deeply loved, and created with a purpose.
Church buildings and gathering spaces become places of laughter, colorful decorations, music, games, and Bible-centered activities, creating a welcoming environment where children can experience God’s love in practical and meaningful ways. As Jesus declared in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me.” This Scripture captures the heart of the ministry: making room for children, listening to them, nurturing their faith, and helping them grow in a safe and loving Christian community.
As local churches, the hope is that children will not only hear about God’s love during a special celebration but also experience it through the everyday life of a caring Christian community.
As we reflect on this year’s celebrations, we give thanks for the opportunity to serve children and families. Children are not simply the future of the church; they are an important part of the church today. May the seeds of faith planted during these celebrations continue to grow, bringing hope to children, encouragement to families, and glory to God.
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
Thank you for being a part of our team. Be blessed!
