Christopher and Denise Meyer oversee the Macapá region. They have missionary Bob Lesher serving with them. Christopher and Denise are the Senior Pastors of one of the Macapa churches, Vineyard Viva. It was planted in 2017. The other Macapa church was planted in 2004 and is led by a Brazilian couple with the help of Bob Lesher. They have a “Love in Action” ministry that helps serve the poor and demonstrates Christ’s love.

Macapá is the capital city of Amapá, a state in the North Region of Brazil. Located near the mouth of the Amazon River on its northern channel, it sits on a small plateau just above sea level. It is uniquely positioned on the Equator, earning it the nickname “The Capital of the Middle of the World.” This geographical distinction is marked by the Marco Zero monument, where the sun aligns perfectly with the Equator during the spring and autumn equinoxes. The city has a population of approximately 512,902 as of 2020 estimates.
