Bob has been here in Brazil as a missionary for over 10 years. Currently, Bob is working with the church leadership team in Macapá at Vineyard Macapá. This church was started by former Xingu Mission missionaries about 20 years ago. The church development has had a long history of ups and downs. In April 2024, new pastors were ordained as interns after a two-year training period, which gave this church a fresh start.
Bob has been a part of the leadership team for about 3 years. During that time, he has helped facilitate projects to strengthen the church’s infrastructure and ministries for church services and outreach. The outreach ministry is called “Love in Action.” It is an outreach to show the love of Jesus by offering prayer, street counseling (listening and conversation), hugs, and a snack.
The church usually has a good turnout of members and has a great time together. They play music and invite people to sit in chairs provided for a snack or offer prayer. Many people ask for prayer for personal and family problems, which has created the opportunity for ministry. Many express their gratitude for what we are doing.
It’s a great privilege for Bob to be there and living in Macapá. Bob sees the grace of God in his life, and he is grateful for it.
