Amazon Update!!!

Hello

We are so grateful for all your prayers and support.  Please keep them up!  Be blessed with the below update.

Small groups are essential for our church because they create a space where faith becomes personal, practical, and lived out in community.  In smaller settings, people can be known, encouraged, and challenged in ways that large gatherings often can’t provide.  It’s where Scripture is discussed honestly, prayer becomes meaningful, and relationships are formed that carry people through both joy and hardship.  Small groups help move believers from simply attending church to actually growing as disciples of Jesus—learning to love, serve, and follow Him in everyday life.

Below are some pictures of a couple of small groups at the church.

Anselmo’s story
Anselmo recently shared his experience with small groups.  He said that at first, he didn’t want to come—but he showed up anyway.  At the time, they were going through financial difficulties, and coming to the group meant they could also enjoy a good meal.  More importantly, they were welcomed by kind and genuine people.

What began as a reluctant visit slowly turned into something deeper as he experienced real connection and heard about Jesus in a personal way.  Over time, his heart opened, and he made the decision to follow Christ.  He was baptized, publicly declaring his new faith.  Today, his story has come full circle: Anselmo and Gessica now host a small group in their own home, creating the same welcoming space that once changed his life.

Below are pictures of Anselmo and Gessica’s small group.  Also pictured is our newest and youngest worship leader in training.

We recently held a training at the church with our small group leaders.  These times are so important because, as leaders, they are constantly pouring themselves out for others.  While the training was valuable, what impacted us most was the time leaders spent praying for and ministering to one another.

On another day, we invited some of the leaders to our home for additional training followed by a cookout.  It was a great opportunity to build relationships, play games, and simply enjoy being together.  And in addition to being a great pastor, Niltinho is also a great cook!

Camilly and Alyssa are both doing well and are coming to the end of their college quarters.  Alyssa is ending her time in the States and plans to return soon to figure out her next steps.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Please pray for our church, leadership, and congregation that they may help people draw closer to God and reveal His plans for the church and for us.

Please pray for our family.

Please pray for our spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and financial health.

Please pray that we can find permanent land and buildings in Belem.  We have something in our sights.  WOOOHOOO!!!  Let’s see how God organizes it so we can get it.

Please pray for our trip to Europe.  Elba was asked over a year ago to speak at their National conference.  Pray that the Lord will help Elba with all her preparations, and that the Spirit will be strongly present.

Much love, Steve, Elba, Camilly, and Alyssa
